Zhükozh Jloknamän-Rekazhnarän: Overview
The United Army of Nalydya
The land army of the Nalydya is an army funded by the various Hunter States to act as the primary unified offensive and defensive land arm of Nalydya. As such, the army is small, however only Hunters fill its ranks. With Hunters comprising less than .5% of the population, the system works well.
Training for induction into the ZJR begins at age 14. From that age they go through rigorous training procedures on the coldest of the planets of Nalydya to steel them for actual service. All of their combat and survival skills are honed, and by the age of 18 they are ready for full frontline service. While in training, they generally find a specialization, whether it be armour, artillery or the likes, and this is what their primary focus is throughout their training process.
A non-Hunter sub-branch of the ZJR, the Kenzhelengrazhni Guard, is joined by many Pords who do not wish to join the VRZ. The Kenzhelengrazhni Guard receive marginally less training than their standard ZJR counterparts, but still have access to the equipment and vehicles that the standard ZJR formations use.
The highest regarded places of study for the ZJR are the Yamsai Northern School of Mobile Tactics located on Nalydya and the Zhyssian Military Institute located on Zhyso.

The Man:
At the very core of the ZJR are the infantry: the fighting man that does the grunt work and ensures the overall success of the army. With such high expectations, it is only natural that the infantryman is equipped adequately for the task:
Chünezhnar - The primary assault infantry of the ZJR whose name is derived from the rifle that they carry. Basic Loadout: - Blue Tunic (knee-length; side slits below belt) - Blue Trousers - Silver Jlokpalsh - Barrier Suit (worn underneath everything) - K/P Barrier Suit (worn on abdomen) - FCNA Breastplate (gray) - FCNA Forearm guards (gray) - FCNA Knee guards (gray) - FCNA Shoulder guards (gray) - Reknu IPA - Gray Belt; Black Buckle - Black Boots (FCNA facing) - Black Gloves - GAR variant - Subspace grenade & ammo pouches - YSS - PCB The Chünezhnar fight with a variety of weaponry ranging from GAR-25K and GAR-25L (kinetic) rifles to the venerable Kpu-28 rift-pulse carbine and Gpu-45 rift-pulse rifle. Extra armour pieces are worn over the trousers/tunic. Chonzhyrnamen - The most heavily armoured men in the army. Basic Loadout: - Polynya Power Armour Suit - Barrier Suit (worn underneath everything) - K/P Barrier Suit (worn on abdomen) - Barrier Oversuit - Reknu IPA - GAR-45/Cpu-65 - Subspace grenade & ammo pouches - YSS - PCB The Chonzhyrnamen are equipped with the Polynya Power Armour Suit, which enables them to wield large and powerful battle rifles while being nearly tank-like themselves. There are not terribly many of these heavy infantry around, and for a unit to have them is an awe-inspiring sight indeed. Rezhnamen - Combat engineers who excel in erecting vast field defenses in little time, and are quite often found operating right up with the Chünezhnar. Extra armour pieces are worn over the trousers/tunic. Basic Loadout: - Blue Tunic (knee-length; side slits below belt) - Blue Trousers - Silver Jlokpalsh - Barrier Suit (worn underneath everything) - K/P Barrier Suit (worn on abdomen) - FCNA Breastplate (gray) - FCNA Forearm guards (gray) - FCNA Knee guards (gray) - FCNA Shoulder guards (gray) - Reknu IPA - Gray Belt; Black Buckle - Black Boots (FCNA facing) - Black Gloves - Assorted tools (backpack) - GAR 25L or Kpu-48 - Subspace grenade & ammo pouches - YSS - PCB Chrühov - Mobile troops. Used for scouting, flanking and screening. Uniform is a gray and blue (camo) tunic (tucked in) with same pattern trousers, gray boots and a black belt, along with a Jlokpalsh. Underneath this uniform a barrier suit is worn, with a K/P Barrier Suit over that. Men are also issued gray and blue tinted FCNA breastplates, forearm guards, shoulder guards and knee protectors to be worn over the uniform, in addition to capes with intricate blue and gray patterns on them. Many also carry personal active camouflage devices & cloaking devices, so that they may blend in near imperceptibly with their surroundings. Chrühov travel lightly, with a Kpu-28 as their main weapon. The Yünak provides them with adequate transportation around the field of battle. The Yünak is vastly improved over the Leopard RPCs of old. |
CTM-6/PBA-255 - The newest primary battle tank of the ZJR is the CTM-6/PBA-255. The defining feature of the CTM-6 is the addition of nodes for projector array redirection probes to allow the tank to fire at targets beyond line of sight with its secondary energy weapon systems. Improved armouring techniques have enabled the FCNA to be increased exponentially with little increase in weight, greatly increasing survivability.
Vubzay and Arzhnüt transports serve as the most common form of moving men around on the field of battle. They replace the older Tundras and Schwiegers that were used for so long. PmH-255 and Chorzherov mobile artillery pieces support the army in its advances, attacks and defensive operations. Both pieces have similar range, however the PmH-255 can also use liquid plasma solution. The Reknugrazhni missile artillery system is the most advanced land bast missile system thus far built by the Confederation. It is capable of using ATF rods or DM/DE missiles. Upon seeing the effectiveness of the MantleSharks possessed by the Paramarines, the ZJR developed their own equivalent vehicle, and thus the Nolkorrüzha fills the roll of subterranean tank/fighter. The replacement for the Leopard RPC is the Yünak RPC... A vastly improved machine with superiour off road and on road handling and weapon placement. KH-150: 150cm Kinetic Howitzer (5 crew)
KH-250: 250cm Kinetic Howitzer (5 crew) KH-500: 500cm Kinetic Howitzer (5 crew) KSM-1500: 1,500cm Kinetic Siege Mortar (10 crew) KSM-2500: 2,500cm Kinetic Siege Mortar (10 crew) "Guards" divisions are formations that have distinguished themselves on the field of battle. Throughout the history of the ZJR, excellence in battle has been the driving force behind the army's doctrine and how the wars it has been in have been fought. As a way to commemorate and honour those who have performed exemplary, the title of "Guards" is attached to the formation name, letting everyone who comes up against them know that the division they are about to fight is one of the Confederation's finest. The AerHast Missile System is the oldest artillery systems in use with the ZJR. The AerHast pods are towed behind tanks or other such vehicles and are used primarily against ground targets; they lob tungsten beams high into the air that arc down and engage their thrusters, accelerating to extreme speeds. Mobile shield generators have been with Pordish armies since their inception, however recent developments have merged mobile shielding units with projector array technology, giving the shielding added strength and offensive capabilities if appropriate units are present to allow the units to target hostiles. |
