The Empire of Nalydya's core territories are in the Barbarossa I Galaxy. Nalydian claims are focused around 2,500 settled systems that house numerous Pords across the planets, moons and stations found within. These 2,500 systems are divided into ten sectors, each with 250 systems, and each with a prominent system as sector capital (listed below); outside of this core is a vast cloud of tens of thousands of systems Nalydya claims as resource worlds and as part of her direct buffer zone. On the grand scale, Nalydya claims the entire Barbarossa I Galaxy as an economic zone, and the Barbarossa Doctrine, established by High Hunter Yamsi Natynozh nearly two thousand years ago, has defined Nalydian foreign policy since its inception.
System Nalydya
The Planet of Nalydya is the capital of the Empire. The homeworld of the Pordish species, it is of great importance to Nalydian politics; all of the Hunter Houses hail from this world, although a few - such as the Yamsai - have moved their centres of operations off-planet.
The capital city of the planet (and the nation as a whole) is Tnem-Fragg: a large walled city that is located in the northern hemisphere. It is one of the oldest cities in Nalydya, having a history that stretches back for hundreds of thousands of years. |
System Grazhni Yamsai
Grazhni Yamsai is the radiant star of the Great House of Yamsai. It was by the Yamsai'an the planet was discovered and first colonized, and thus it now serves as the capital of the Great House of Yamsai, with the great city of Yamsai Nord serving as the planet's centre.
Being a very cultural and spiritually inclined group, the city of Pa-uzt (another one of the oldest cities on the planet) acts as a meeting place for Pords from far and wide to gather and pay tribute to the great Polar Spirits and other gods via the shrines that the city itself was built around. |
System Iqoon
Iqoon is an economic powerhouse, with cities such as Zha 'Suzt and Mal 'uzt taking up large sections of the planets surface and being major tourist attractions. Both of these cities are physically the largest metropolises in the nation, and the overall output of the planet reflects this.
Iqoon is one of the few Nalydian planets not covered in snow and ice. It was seized during the Denma-Nalydian Roon War as compensation for the damages incurred upon Nalydian assets by the forces of the Galactic Empire of Roon. |
Greater Frederick; System Yamsai
Frederick is perhaps the least relevant of the primary Nalydian worlds on the international stage, but this does not diminish its importance; taken from the Grand Republic during the ARN-Laptev War, this planet is cold and icy, and the great statues of Admiral Manster Heinz and Alfred von Donitz commemorate the history of the Imperial Nalydian navy.
Frederick is often used as a training ground for polar troops thanks to its relative sparse population and biting cold. The training facilities here produce some of the best cold weather soldiers the Pords field; standard ZJR training does not focus for terribly long on prolonged operations in extreme weather. |
System Zhyso
The planet of Zhyso was taken by five hundred superkapital ships under the direct command of High Hunter Kornat Hanüch in the year 360 ABT as a sanctuary for Zhyssian Hunters. The newest addition to the Nalydian planet roster, Zhyso is cold and very windy.
The planet has three rocky moons that have retrograde orbits; they serve as anchorages for VRZ vessels as the rest of the system is largely uninhabited. The capital, named in honour of the city that once stood on Nalydian Franz-Josef Land by the same name, is Nova Zhyso. |
Hol Ka 'Suzt; System Nalydya
The planet of Hol Ka 'Suzt serves as the primary shipyard for the System Nalydya. In and around its rings are massive orbital facilites that are capable of both producing and servicing the largest of VRZ vessels. The planet's moon, Hal 'uzt, is vast. With a diameter of 3,500 kilometers, it is planet-sized. The surface of the moon is used for mining various metals and rare minerals. Unlike many of the other worlds that Nalydya cannibalizes whole, the moon is kept relatively intact because its presence is healthy for Hol Ka 'Suzt.

System Nüzhna
The planet Kaloo was seized as a trophy during the Denma-Nalydian Roon War. Since those days it has proven to be a useful research facility and houses numerous secret facilities that belong to many nations with whom Nalydya is allied.
Moscorosia was found lightly defended during the Laptev-ARN War and was subsequently occupied by Nalydian forces. After a brief period of glaciation, the planet was deemed suitable for Nalydian habitation and to this day harbors a significant population of Pords and serves as the capital of the System Nüzhna. |
System Mal Ka 'Suzt
Mal Ka 'Suzt is physically the coldest of the Nalydian planets - winds whip across the surface up to 250 kph and temperatures hover above absolute zero all year round. All the cities have kinetic barriers to keep the wind out, though the temperature still gets through. Roads are built underground or above ground and connected to the shielding.
City of Hol-nam Ka 'Suzt is the planet's capital. Population of 5 million; main city on the planet. All roads and routes of travel pass through here. Houses main spaceport as well as the planet's FTL interdiction generators. |
System Nävsh
As a minor House, the Nävsh did not settle their own world until well after Nalydya arrived in the NS-1 Universe. Nävsh is the first planet the Hunters of the Great House of Nävsh settled; it orbits at fifteen AU from its star and a set of dusty rings and a singular moon complete it.
Nävsh is best known for its rather thick atmosphere - the planet is wrapped in a thick belt of hydrogen, helium, and methane, the latter of which gives the planet its bluish tint. |
System Mürsk
The planet of Mürsk was settled by Hunters from the Great House of Mürsk in the year 100 ABT as a direct reaction to the War of Natynozh Resurgence. Fleeing the advancing Natynozh armies, the Mürsk Hunters found a chilly ocean world and crafted a home from it. Sitting at the center of a ten planet system, Mürsk is a heavily populated and influential planet.
With Rekazhnar as their guardian, the Mürsk Hunters built vast cities upon the seafloor of the planet; the grand city of Rekazhgrazhni Mürskskaya, crafted in fealty to the pelagic god himself, has few rivals in Nalydya for size or majesty. |
System Kalach
A bastion of Zhyssian power, the System Kalach stands as testament to their resolve in one-upping the Yamsai'an Hunters. The System Kalach has six planets with the planet Kalach herself as capital; each world is heavily populated, but perhaps in contrast to many of the larger Pordish systems, there are no heavy yards for the construction of voidcraft.
The capital, Kalach, houses the influential city of Chor Kalach, a sprawling metropolis built in the traditional Nalydian style with low buildings and ice-brick roads. The overall climate - cold but windless - enables the usage of such construction methods; she orbits at twelve AU from her parent star, a dingy k-type of the main sequence. |
System Cha 'Suzt
The planet Cha 'Suzt, and her capital Cha 'Suzt, is named for the city by the same name on the planet Nalydya. It is a moderately sized gas giant that harbours a handful of floating cities. It has a single small rocky moon that has far too many craters and not facilities of note,as well as thin wispy rings.
Overall there are three other planets in the System Cha 'Suzt, two of which orbit at .3 and .5AU, while the third completes her tracks an impressive 200AU out from the central star. |
